Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA) is a social enterprise that aims to recognize and celebrate teaching excellence, and catalyze teacher professional development, through its CENTA Certificates that aspire to connect outstanding teachers to great opportunities. The Certificates will also serve as a pointer for schools in their recruiting and professional development efforts. TPO is fully owned and run by CENTA, and is the first step towards the CENTA Certificates.
Though a young organization, CENTA has already seen outstanding traction with the teaching community of India, with the broader education landscape, and to some extent, even internationally. CENTA is part of reputed groups and committees within and outside India; e.g. the Global Alliance on Teachers, an informal group of 10 organizations from around the word, facilitated by Varkey Foundation. Some of the other organizations in this group include Harvard Graduate School of Education, National Institute of Education Singapore, University of Helsinki Finland, and transnational associations in Europe and Africa.
CENTA is founded by two committed professionals, with IIT-IIM backgrounds, 15+ years of experience each, and a track record of pioneering contributions to the education sector. CENTA is supported by an eminent advisory board. Learn more about the organization at www.centa.org.
